I am interested in what you thought of the quality, the amount of fun, and was it worth the cost?

It has been awhile since I put together a party so I am not sure of the cost of decorations etc., but I would think I could put together something similar for a lot less. What do you think? Are these prepackaged parties a good idea or not?

If so, which one do your recommend and why?

    Thanks!

I used the Coconut themed party last night for DD's sleepover. Everything in the kit was really cute and nice quality, too. I was able to get everything when it went on clearance last year, so it was definitely worth the price. It probably still would have been worth it at full price, but I'm just glad DD didn't want it 'til it went on sale.

I also got the Doll Party Favors and Balloons and these were really cute, too. The balloons aren't really worth $2 each, but they are still cute, and since the rest of the party didn't cost much, I didn't mind springing for the balloons. The little Happy Birthday tiaras for the dolls were darling.

DD's best friend had the Pajama Jam party back in January. Everything in it was really cute, too. Caroline had the Deluxe version that came with the foam chair and paisley pajamas. (The doll in PJs and the chair were the centerpiece.) IMO, the basic party kit is definitely worth $105. The treat bags are really nice. There isn't a lot in them, but they each get a Puzzle Crazy book and that alone retails for $7.95, I think. Plus they get to keep the doll place setting and napkin ring/ponytail holder. Also, the sleep sack craft was a big hit, and my girls use the ones they made often. I especially loved that this kit came with the tiny doll place settings. Too cute!

The only thing that didn't go over super well that night was the Midnight Madness game. I thought it was a really fun game, and the girls seemed to be enjoying it. For some reason they started losing interest about 15 minutes in, and no one ended up finishing. It may have been because they were too young (although that didn't seem to be the case while they were playing...), or maybe it just wasn't a board game kind of crowd.

Anyway, considering the party came with everything you need, including favors, a craft and a game, $105 is a great deal. If it were me, I'd probably skip the chair centerpiece and get the Cake Stand Set instead. That purple cake stand looks really fun! Coconut's party came with a cute cake stand. I used this for the centerpiece and the table looked awesome! (If I do say so myself... LOL!)

I think I will steer DD towards the Totally Tropical Party for next year. Everything in it looks really fun, and besides, we already have the Cabana.

    Anyway... hope this was helpful!

We had Kit's Mystery Party for my daughter's 9th birthday (about a month ago). It was just awesome! The girls had such a great time. They loved the game, and had so much fun with the goodies that came with the kit. The decorations were really wonderful, and everything was very high quality.

The age range at our party was from ages 7 to 11. I think it's probably best for the 9 years and up group, only because I think their reading skills (they need to read a play script)allow them to have the script flow better, but it really depends on the reading levels of the individual kids.

Also, you can buy the different parts of the kit using replacement part codes (incase you don't want everything that comes with the kit).

Hope you have a fun party!
